A degree Jazz sax & flute from the 'Amsterdam High School of Arts / Hilversum Conservatory' gathering dust in his drawer, German-born Praful spends most of his time creating music - when not in the studio he's probably moving around our planet. His life and music are rooted in a spiritual quest, inspired by the teachings of Osho, Ramesh Balsekar, Eckhart Tolle and many others. He has visited India many times, following Bansuri (Bamboo Flute) classes with his teacher Hariprasad Chaurasia. He also has a huge passion for Brasil - its music, language, people and nature.
Praful has recorded and shared the stage with numerous artists and bands: Choramundo, Homenagem A Tom Jobim (w. Armandinho & Robertinho Silva), Project 2000, Bayuba Cante, Société - tous les Couleurs, Adani & Wolf, Dave Koz, Gerardo Rosales, ElectroCôco, Lilian Vieira (Zuco103), Jonathan Butler, Maneesh de Moor, Deva Premal and Miten, Marc Antoine, R. Carlos Nakai, Nippy Noya, René van Helsdingen, Jeffrey Osborne, David Benoit, Armando Peraza, Ravi, Jazzjuice, Snowboy, Good Move, Saoco, DJ Roog & Hardsoul, DJ Bart Thimbles, DJ Maestro, DJ Kareem Raihani and many more. With 'Project 2000' he was decorated in 1999 with the Dutch Heineken Crossover Award.
