Fractal Philosophy is the first full length album; for FREE; brought to you by the innovative up and coming duo hailing out of the Czech Republic, ambientium. From beginning to end this album is a divine expedition into ethereal planes of the space time continuum. Deep and exquisite ambiance, fused with breaks and downtempo beats paint a vivid picture. Glitch and Post Rock collide like particles in an accelerator; psychedelic racks are the Higgs-Boson of sound captured on tape for this rare event. IDM inspired melodic sequences stand out as acolytes to the philosophy of the fractal, and the visual and audio art it has evoked from the human soul, even before humanity knew of it's scientific existence.

Few albums truly hold the quality and design of being listened to from start to finish, Fractal Philosophy is one of those albums. Each track is a woven tapestry of one song leading into the next. A seamless story about the world around you, inside of you and beyond your comprehension exposed for your listening pleasure.

Opening up with a deep, reverberating bass drone in; 'Hadron Era'. You are taken inside the particle accelerator as super charged particles whizz by in your mind at nearly the speed of light, colliding and creating the ensuing auditory ballet of filtered drums and a deep engrossing ambiance. The eloquence of the dance is accentuated by the gentle siren of a beautiful woman.

As the particles fizzle out you are quickly transported into space for one of the most magnificent events in the universe, a 'Star Birthday'. Distant sounds of children at play echo deep inside the gaseous clouds as they begin to coalesce, heat up and create the forge of life itself, the star. Families of strings instruments bounce over a deep, meaningful bass line and downtempo beat all while the star roils and boils in the vast coldness of space, bathing its surroundings in heat and light. Chants of a beautiful woman worshipping the giver of life ring out, as you slip away.

Coming through is the intangible, 'Infinitium'. Wispy rez sweeps build into a full on excursion in the fractal itself. Islands of order in a sea of chaos; Guitar racks laid bare, like beautiful naked women in the free love era of the 60's and 70's over a shuffled downtempo beat. The complexity builds as the entire track is taken through an IDM break down; infinity burns out crackling and spitting.

The synthetic fire inside you continues to smolder, you know you aren't in a familiar place any more, far away from home. 'Another World Part 1' slowly but inexorably builds. Droning gives way to deliberately rhythmic ambience. Fading in from nowhere the bang of the metallic time keeper draws forward. Before you can realize what is happening you are pulled into one of the most beautiful and melancholy melodies on the album. A driving bass line and Balearic screams bring home the true depth of what you are experiencing. As quickly as the epiphany came it’s gone into the darkness.

The details of your surroundings come into focus. Broken glitch beats move across the surface of night time chords. ‘Another World Part 2’ explores the outlined surfaces of this new place. As night begins to relinquish its hold you hear the wind begin to blow and start walking.

Crunching snow and ice under your feet, the bone chilling cold wind blowing in your ears so potently you can feel it; ‘Europa’ is Jupiter’s second moon, made of solid ice and believed to have a liquid water core. As you look out across the barren wasteland a clap drives your pace and the rattling sets the change. The psychedelic funk that ensues makes you want to get to stepping, and is arguably the best track on the album. The rise and fall of the main melody line weaves a tapestry between it and the bass. Different instruments that speak to the overall ambience fade in and out. Screeching highs drop to gentle Rhodes pianos. The track rattles to a false end and comes back in as strong as it left, like a moment of respite from that immeasurably cold wind. The wind begins to pick up again as you hear your footsteps moving away from the life changing scene you just left in through a door to a place within.

You grab a box of matches and strike one. ‘Fractal Philosophy’ is an experimental and abstract moment of mathematic meditation. The sounds like a computer, who’s rhythms are fractal in nature; is speaking to you through the algo-rythms. Water dripping as the old is washed away.

A ‘Touch of Light’ enters the room. Dreamy melody lines with IDM influenced drops, clicks, pops, plops and snaps. Suddenly the light breaks into dance and the world moves as one. Synchronicity of experience uplifting you on waves of photonic energy to a blissful place. You are pulled away from this place as you hear the departure and arrival call outs of a busy transportation hub.

The chaos dissolves from the gentle beating of rain against the earth. ‘Home’ is the completion of the journey. The serenity of being in a familiar place soothes your consciousness. Buzzing and spinning ambience around your head; bells ringing like wind chimes in your mind. “Home, home again, I like to be here when I can. When I come home cold and tired, it’s good to warm my bones beside the fire.”
